Shahin Entezami

Sound Artist / Musician

About

Shahin Entezami, also known by his stage name “Tegh”, is a musician and sound artist based in Paris (originally from Tehran). His music mostly takes root in noise, drone and glitch together with experimental elements. In his work he tries to bring new aural experiences to life by combining different audio elements and creating complex soundscapes — often shaped by geography, story and situation.

In recent years he has been working on more complex creations and has become involved in sound design and composition for theatre, film and design projects, as well as immersive and 3D sound for virtual reality. Based on his interest in other artists’ worlds he has been involved in collaboration projects such as Artirial, Temp-Illusion, Tegh & Adel Poursamadi and more. He is a co-founder, managing director and curator at SET Experimental Art Events — one of the important experimental festivals to emerge from the region.

His works have been presented at international festivals and venues including CTM Festival (Berlin), ALICE (Copenhagen), IDFA (Amsterdam), Nederlands Film Festival, Melt Festival, Port25 (Mannheim), Berghain (Berlin), GEM Festival, SET / SET × CTM (Tehran), TADAEX, Tehran Contemporary Sounds (Berlin), Paraffin, FAJR International Festival, Tankstation (Enschede), VO Curations and Walmer Yard (London), Doclisboa and others.

He has released albums and singles on labels including Injazero Records, Opal Tapes, Zabte Sote, Hibernate Recordings, Dronarivm, Inner Ocean Records, Midira Records, Futuresequence, Flaming Pines, Bitrot Recordings and more.
